Needing Health Insurance and Having a Mild Disability
I have uploaded an essay, "Needing Health Insurance and Having a Mild Disability." This goes into the "If you can't find a job (a darn good job at that) how can you have health insurance?" Some people call this mess "The World's Best Healthcare." We are not the best, we are 37th.
The writing of the essay came about from a promise to use my mild disability to help put a human face on the healthcare crisis.
It is about someone who falls in the space "should be able to work and earn insurance benefit" "furthermore, wants to earn his way" "too well off for Medicaid" but finding a nightmare to compete in this recession narrowed job market with un-disabled counterparts.
