Subject: Restoring wealth and prosperity to the Citizens of the United States of America.

Dear President Obama,

Economic relief can be achieved immediately by stopping the transfer of wealth to Asian and Middle Eastern countries and building a strong economic engine.

1. Today announce and begin construction of a National hydrogen distribution system. Require all auto manufactures to immediately build hydrogen cars. Only minor modifications need to be made for the change over: brass valve guilds, storage tank, stainless steel exhaust and reprogramming.
2. Require our existing nuclear and natural gas power plants to produce hydrogen during their frequent periods of low electrical demand. Encourage the development of local hydrogen production.
3. Stop depositing crude oil into the National reserve, (empty salt caverns). Proven technology does not exist to recover the crude without some natural pressure. Also by using empty salt caverns the crude becomes contaminated with salt and trebles the expensive of processing.
4. Raise the National speed limit. For transportation and trucking purposes this will reduce the size of our country by 5 to 10 percent and reduce labor costs.

While foreign countries have enjoyed the economic generosity of our current trade laws, all of them must understand we can no longer artificially prop up their economies by allowing the transfer of our wealth. It was some time ago that the United States came off the gold standard; it is time to move to a labor standard.

5. Immediately announce a foreign reciprocal wage tax. If China wishes to pay their labor force an average of 20 cents an hour and we pay an average of $20 per hour. Then the reciprocal tax will be 1000 percent of the finished product. Reductions could be available for responsible environment laws and equal trade totals. Quality products from: Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, Great Britain, Canada and the United States would immediately become affordable. Irresponsible countries like China and India would no longer damage the environment and profit from slave labor policy.
6. Generous tax credits for companies that build American factories and hire American labor.
7. Generous tax credits for companies that stop out sourcing.
8. Tax surcharges for companies that import customer service and intellectual property. Providing customer service and programming skills from India and China is no less dodging import tax laws than importing cigarettes without a tax stamp.

National Health Care should be available for every citizen of the United States. Health Care costs have risen to the point of costing more per pay period than the minimum wage worker earns. This is a perfect example of profiteering and mismanagement.

9. National Health care benefits for all citizens of the United States. Check ups, surgery and emergency services available to citizens and only emergency service to non-citizens. Non-citizens with health benefits will be given full entitlements and illegal aliens will be detained after emergency services.

Because of these dire economic times it must be understood we as a Nation can no longer provide the unlimited transfer of wealth to some foreign countries as they have enjoyed in the past. All countries and citizens of the world are depending on us not only to survive, but to prosper.

Best personal regards,

Steven V. Duran

Steven, A very good letter and discussion; this will also help to bump up to top.

One reason why our economy is in such a mess is because employers can't afford to let us afford health insurance. In order for an employer to be able to offer the insurance benefit he has to charge more for his products; this causes where customers find more cost effective to buy oversea. While still employed at a former employer I wrote a song, voicing concern that the overpriced healthcare will eat up our economy.

I will give you first verse and a chorus. The Charger Plant is "Lester Electrical." Written while still employed there. I was layed off 11/17/2006; originally planned as a temporary lay off, then 1/31/2007 it was turned into a permanent lay off.

There are many factories moved oversea, still one remains, hope long it will be,
it's the charger plant, the brave white knight, good going friends keep up the good fight.

A-FOR-DA-BLE HEALTH' will save our economy, it is in the best interest of everybody,
if every job moves out of the country, than (tell me) whose gonna pay the medical fee?

I think this is one of the best songs I ever wrote. If we don't have jobs who will pay the medical fees? One of my songs was caught on YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xYKohJTKNI.
