Volunteers for KUCINICH

As the economy has tanked and unemployment surges its time to make the critical investment in our "New" energy economy. Going green can be much more than just an environmental cause because in addition to saving our planet by going for geothermal solar wind and other resources we reduce our dependance on energy sources that over time will only get more expensive and by doing so we can produce lots of jobs too! I read a story this past summer that in the twin ports (duluth superior) in the upper great lakes that most of the wind turbines comming trough the port were from europe and not from this country. WHY? Its time to convert production facilities in the country that are laying off people because they cant sell there product to somthing they can sell and in fact sell like panbcakes off the grill!- solar panels wind turbines and heat pumps. Lets get our economy rolling and get AMERICA BACK TO WORK!!

I encourage one and all to make your voices herd and go to WWW.CHANGE.GOV and let the new administration know what you think...that this is the time to do it and do it now! One last point Wind farms are being built in rural areas and those same areas need manufacturing jobs why not put the two pieces together? A win Win situation and as more green power comes on line it will give us the power thats needed for the new electric cars that in time should be cheaper than the current gas type one in time! Cheaper power and more jobs ..the way to a brighter future!

I so totally agree with Mareen. We have brilliant brains and need to use them to promote all green enterprises. The www.change.gov is such an awesome idea. I think we shall be surprised by the breath of vision that Obama has. It will not bea easy at first, but results will come. :)

Subject: Restoring wealth and prosperity to the Citizens of the United States of America.

Dear President Obama,

Economic relief can be achieved immediately by stopping the transfer of wealth to Asian and Middle Eastern countries and building a strong economic engine.

1. Today announce and begin construction of a National hydrogen distribution system. Require all auto manufactures to immediately build hydrogen cars. Only minor modifications need to be made for the change over: brass valve guilds, storage tank, stainless steel exhaust and reprogramming.
2. Require our existing nuclear and natural gas power plants to produce hydrogen during their frequent periods of low electrical demand. Encourage the development of local hydrogen production.
3. Stop depositing crude oil into the National reserve, (empty salt caverns). Proven technology does not exist to recover the crude without some natural pressure. Also by using empty salt caverns the crude becomes contaminated with salt and trebles the expensive of processing.
4. Raise the National speed limit. For transportation and trucking purposes this will reduce the size of our country by 5 to 10 percent and reduce labor costs.

While foreign countries have enjoyed the economic generosity of our current trade laws, all of them must understand we can no longer artificially prop up their economies by allowing the transfer of our wealth. It was some time ago that the United States came off the gold standard; it is time to move to a labor standard.

5. Immediately announce a foreign reciprocal wage tax. If China wishes to pay their labor force an average of 20 cents an hour and we pay an average of $20 per hour. Then the reciprocal tax will be 1000 percent of the finished product. Reductions could be available for responsible environment laws and equal trade totals. Quality products from: Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, Great Britain, Canada and the United States would immediately become affordable. Irresponsible countries like China and India would no longer damage the environment and profit from slave labor policy.
6. Generous tax credits for companies that build American factories and hire American labor.
7. Generous tax credits for companies that stop out sourcing.
8. Tax surcharges for companies that import customer service and intellectual property. Providing customer service and programming skills from India and China is no less dodging import tax laws than importing cigarettes without a tax stamp.

National Health Care should be available for every citizen of the United States. Health Care costs have risen to the point of costing more per pay period than the minimum wage worker earns. This is a perfect example of profiteering and mismanagement.

9. National Health care benefits for all citizens of the United States. Check ups, surgery and emergency services available to citizens and only emergency service to non-citizens. Non-citizens with health benefits will be given full entitlements and illegal aliens will be detained after emergency services.

Because of these dire economic times it must be understood we as a Nation can no longer provide the unlimited transfer of wealth to some foreign countries as they have enjoyed in the past. All countries and citizens of the world are depending on us not only to survive, but to prosper.

Best personal regards,

Steven V. Duran
